We're going to the Zoo!

Yesterday we took Tommy to London Zoo.

We were brave and took him without the buggy because we knew he'd only spend the entire afternoon trying to get out of it. He loves walking around on his own and is really good about holding on to our hands - we barely even have to ask. The only problem is, after spending half the afternoon with him on my shoulders, they aches so much. He really is getting heavy now.

He was so impressed that he got his own seat on the train and was really good about sitting still and not trying to run around.

As we queued up for tickets, he couldn't wait to get inside. I swear, if he could've jumped the fence he would've.

Just as most of the kids, he simply had to get right to the front of every crowd looking at all the animals. He got right to the front of the otters' tank whilst they were playing quite close to the edge. When one kicked the tank right be his face he really didn't like it and cried. But he was soon off to see the next thing. He kept screwing his face up and going "grrrrr" because he wanted to go and see the lions.

I think his favourites were the penguins (he kept making his quack quack noise - which is more of a quack-like grunt than the actualy word, but gets close to the real noise), the snakes, the fish, the monkeys (they're in an open enclosure and he kept trying to rush forward and grab them!). But most of all, his favourites were the lions (and tigers and leopards which all come under the category of grrrrrs). He kept shh-ing us when we saw the leopard (probably remembering the sleepy leopard in 'Where's That Monkey' and for a moment considered it to be a goggy (doggy).

And he was even good when it was time to go home. No fuss or anything. Ok, maybe we did cheat by buying the balloon he'd asked for at the beginning of the day but I did resist the temptation to spend £25 on a toy monkey for him from the shop. £3 for a helium balloon was a small price to pay in comparison.

News Flash

Long time no blog again... sorry bout that... been a bit... well... waaay to busy latelly!
but anyways... here goes the new T-Boy newsflash:

He is now forming proper sentences, and taling about almos everything... I still have some troble understanding him as he some time talks a mix of portuguese and english.. and some times just general gibberish thet no one undertands at all.. but he makes himself to be undertood anyways. :)

We've been trying to go out with him without the buggy.. I have to tel you that is a lot of hard work... specially when Vic insists to be out all day and all... lol... but he's been a lot happier with his walkies now that he can actually walk. So cute holding our hands and just walking like a big boy all around! A lot of har work tho... the boy has a mind of his own and sometimes his agenda is not the same as ours... example... do not get near any train station or he will want to go on the chuchu... lol... And when we're on one... or on the bus... he keeps wanting to wander around while we're in movement... and licks a hell of of a fuss when we don;t let him...

Boy's way to smart for his own good most of the time...

It's been a week since he's been spending time at grandma's again... and I have to say... after having him at home for a solid month while I tried and failed to get some work done... I miss him quite a lot when he's not around... but I supose that's just life.

On one of mum's reports today (she calls me or msns me at least 10 times a day to say something TB has just done) seh told me they went to the supermarket today... walking... and as she asked for him to get Milk, Bread between other things he would just reach for it, wander abit looking for it, and then come back with the right thing. As I say... waay to smart! lol... and fussy too... he looked around all the bread to find the one he wantes... brown (the one we buy here at home), then he goes asks Grandma if that's the right one and brings it when she says yes. So helpful! lol...

That didn't stop him from wanting all the chocolates he could find on the supermarket tho!! lol

Hopeless... absolutelly hopeless...

Time to go to bed... full day tomorrow... but got some new pics...

Check it out here, here and here!
